I have been dancing Samba in Brisbane since 2009, starting at Rio Rhythmics where I trained, taught and choreographed for the Samba Performance Team. A highlight was dancing in the Carnaval Parades in Rio de Janeiro and Florianopolis , Brazil, The Asakusa Carnaval in Tokyo, Japan and the first street carnival in Brisbane Australia in 2018.
I love Samba because it combines my passion for fitness, culture, elegance, performance and SASS!
I started seriously training in the gym in 2014 when I felt the need to increase my strength and endurance for professional dancing. I soon got sick of being stuck on the same weights with certain exercises and wanted to get stronger. My gym buddy Steph started to push me to lift heavier weights and I learned I was quite a natural when it came to heavy squats and deadlifts. It was not long before I wanted to keep adding plates to the bar and the rest is history!

With many years of training consistently in the gym, a background in martial arts and dance, teaching people how to move is my passion. The majority of my clients train with me longer than 12 months and have seen massive improvements in their strength, form, conditioning and approach to the gym in general. I see potential in everyone and my favourite client is the one who shows up and wants to be there!
I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult and often times fails. My goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes a part of who you are and your lifestyle. Most of my clients fall in love with the process and enjoy becoming stronger and feeling more confident. I can help you be better in the gym or even compete in your first powerlifting competition if that's what you want!
